🔍 The Role That Truly Matters: Data Quality Specialist
As a Data Quality Control Specialist (Healthcare Data), you will become a guardian of data integrity. Your work will directly impact how healthcare insights are delivered to clients who depend on accurate, reliable, and compliant real-world data.
This role sits within Norstella’s Real-World Data (RWD) team, working across engineering, analytics, vendors, and client-facing teams to ensure every dataset is fit for purpose.
🧠 What You Will Do (Your Daily Impact)
Perform data quality validations and root-cause analysis using SQL, dashboards, and analytical tools
Investigate data anomalies before they impact clients
Conduct impact assessments for data vendor updates and schema changes
Design and improve proactive quality checks and validation frameworks
Collaborate directly with data vendors to resolve issues at the source
Partner with data engineering, analytics, and support teams
Track, document, and resolve data issues within Norstella’s LinQ asset
Convert complex technical findings into clear, simple insights for stakeholders
Stay updated with healthcare data standards, compliance, and best practices
🎓 Who Should Apply (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Public Health, Biostatistics, or related field
Hands-on experience with healthcare or real-world data
Strong command of SQL and relational databases
Understanding of EMR, claims, lab, or healthcare datasets
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking

Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy standards
Experience with Redshift or cloud databases
