We are looking for a Quality Analyst to manage and improve the quality of editing work done by our freelance editors (FLs) and in-house editors (IHEs). You will ensure top-notch editing quality, mentor editors, and collaborate with different teams to deliver the best results to our clients.
Job Details:
Location: Remote
Work Days: Monday to Friday (5 days a week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform end-to-end quality management of freelancers and in-house editors.
- Edit, proofread, and review academic documents quickly and accurately.
- Conduct regular quality audits to maintain and enhance editor performance.
- Monitor quality trends and help with decision-making related to editor performance.
- Explain grammatical concepts and editorial processes to editors clearly.
- Handle queries from freelancers and in-house editors regarding language and processes.
- Conduct training sessions for editors to enhance their skills.
- Collaborate with Project Management, Client Servicing, Freelancer Recruitment, and Editing teams.
- Assist in hiring and onboarding quality freelancers.
- Prepare data reports and analysis for internal projects.
- Continuously train and develop editorial staff.
- Contribute to new client projects and developmental activities.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in editing, copyediting, or language quality checks.
- Excellent written and spoken English (near-native proficiency).
- Ability to explain language rules clearly.
- Strong multitasking, time management, and deadline-driven work style.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
- Willing to take part in team activities and shared responsibilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in academic publishing and following style guidelines.
- Interest in taking on additional responsibilities.
- Knowledge of the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
