Applications are invited from eligible candidates to be appointed on contractual basis for one year in Viral Research Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL), Department of Microbiology, Government Medical College, Jammu. Job Details:

The details of post are as below:

1. Name of Post: Laboratory Technician
   • Age: 25 to 30 years
   • Salary: Rs. 20,000+ HRA per month
   • No. of posts: 01
   • Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized Institute with a minimum of 03 years Lab. Experience.
   • Desirable Qualification:
     • Previous experience of working COVID-19 Laboratory Will be preferred.
     • Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in Molecular Diagnostics.
2. Name of Post: Data Entry Operator
   • Age: 25 to 30 years
   • Salary: Rs. 20,000 (Consolidated without any allowance)
   • No. of posts: 01
   • Essential Qualification: Graduation in Computer Sciences with minimum of three years in handling data and accounts.
   • Desirable Qualification:
     • Candidate having one year diploma in Computers along with accounting will be preferred.
     • Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in COVID-19 related work.
3. Name of Post: Multi-tasking Staff
   • Age: 20 to 25 years
   • Salary: Rs. 18000/- per month (Consolidated without any allowance)
   • No. of posts: 01
   • Essential Qualification: Matriculation from a recognized Board with Minimum three years work experience in COVID-19.
   • Desirable Qualification: Preference will be given to the candidate having knowledge of computers.

Terms and Conditions:

1. The candidate should be a Permanent resident of U.T of Jammu & Kashmir.
2. The candidate has to mention post name on the envelope e. “Application for the Post of Laboratory Technician / Data Entry Operator/Multitasking staff”.
3. It is sole responsibility of the candidate to track his/her application. Department of Microbiology. Govt. Medical College, Jammu will not be responsible for any postal delay.
4. Canvassing in anyway will lead to disqualification of the concerned candidate.
5. The period of engagement is for a fixed tenure of one year (12 months) or till continuation of funding by DHR, Govt, of India. The contract can however be extended to a maximum of three years depending on the candidate’s performance and budget grant from the funding agency.
6. The selection should not be deemed as employment as employment at GMC, Jammu Employment will automatically terminate upon completion of the 01 year (12 Months) from the date of joining duties and there is no liability for permanent employment on GMC, Jammu.
7. The selected candidates will have to submit undertaking in the shape of affidavit regarding abiding of all rules and regulations mentioned in the advertisement notice on Rs. 100/- stamp paper duly attested by 1^st Class Magistrate. The candidate will also have to submit an undertaking on Rs. 100/- stamp paper stating that he / she will not approach the Hon’ble Court for regularization of his service on the basis of the order issued for the above post or discontinuation of service.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates should bring all the original certificates of educational qualifications, copies of research publications and experience certificate, Identity proof alongwith two photographs and a set of seif- attested photocopies of all certificates and relevant documents (Date of Birth and Domicile) at the time of interview.
9. ” After scrutinizing the applications received in due date, shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. If necessary, a written examination will be conducted and the candidates qualifying the written test will only be called for interview
10. The decision of the selection committee regarding appointment of candidate will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
11. The information regarding the selected candidates for the interview and recruited / engaged candidates will be notified separately on the official website of Govt. Medical College, Jammu.
12. Selection committee reserves all right to change the selection procedure, rules & cancellation of rules.
13. Medical College, Jammu deserves the right to terminate from the job at any time, if the performance of the selectee is not upto the expectation level. If the candidate wants to resign a notice period of 30 days is must.
