Applications are invited from the eligible candidates of Rajouri district for the post of “PEER EDUCATOR” for Treatment Centre under National Viral Hepatitis Control Programme (NVHCP) at Govt. Medical College, Rajouri.

How to apply:
The application with supporting documents should reach in the Office of Principal GMC Rajouri by hand only and before 01/03/2022 (Time i.e. from 10 am to 04 pm). This is to ensure 1st hand scrutiny of documents, Mr. Mohinder Kumar, Junior Assistant, GMC, Rajouri shall collect the Application Forms. No other mode of submission of documents (via E-mail, speed post etc.) shall be entertained.
Role and responsibility of Peer Educator:
- Candidate has to work under the guidance and supervision of Nodal Officer /MO of Treatment Centre and be the first interface with the patient at centre.
- Ensure entries in the visiting register.
- Be a Peer Educator for patients at centre and provide psycho-social support to newly registered patients.
- Provide assistance to patients enrolled at the centre, within the Hospital (OPD and IPD)
- Discuss the importance of adherence to treatment and need of load at 12 weeks post treatment (SVR) with the patients. Keep track of drug adherence of patients, counselling them on the importance of regularity of visits and timely investigations.
- Follow up the patients and assist in patient retrieval, where necessary and as far as possible.
- Any other duty related to the initiative assigned by nodal officer /MO or NVHCP state level.
- Reporting/uploading of Data on NVHCP portal.
