Pursuant to Govt, order No. 21-JK (HME) of 2021 dated 11-01-2021, Applications are invited on prescribed format enclosed as Annexure “A” from the eligible candidates working as Faculty Members in Government Medical College Jammu on regular basis for appointment against the following Faculty positions in Super Specialty Hospital Govt. Medical College Jammu by way of lateral entry as on time absorption. This is without any prejudice to any writ petition pending before any Hon’ble Court of law:-

| Professor | 1) By promotion from Associate Professor having minimum of 03 years teaching experience as such with a minimum of four (04) original Research publication in indexed/National journals, accepted/published as first/corresponding author, out of which minimum two original Research publications must have been published during the tenure of the Associate Professor. or 2) In case of non-availability of eligible members from feeding cadre, the post can be filled up as one-time absorption by way of lateral entry from Government Medical College. Jammu by selection from amongst the Professor of the concerned discipline as per Government order No. 782- JK(HME) of 2020 dated 06-10-2020 possessing the requisite Super Specialty qualification and having a minimum of 13 years teaching experience, out of which at least 03 years should be as Associate Professor in Government Medical College, Jammu as a full time faculty member with a minimum of four (04) original Research Publication in indexed/national Journals, accepted/Published as first/corresponding author, out of which minimum (02) original research Publications must have been published during the tenure of the Associate Professor. Provided that in case of Research Publications published before 5th June, 2017, first/second author shall also be considered in each of the above two categories. | ||||

Jammu with a minimum of two original Research Publication in indexed/national Journals. accepted/Published as first/corresponding author; Provided that in case of Research Publications published before 5th June, 2017, first/second author shall also be considered in each of the above two categories. | ||||

Jammu by selection from amongst the Assistant Professor of the concerned discipline as per Government order No. 782-JK(HME) of 2020 dated 06-10-2020 possessing the requisite Super Specialty qualification and having a minimum of 05 years teaching experience, out of which at least 02 years should be as Lecturer in Government Medical College, Jammu as a full time faculty Member’s with a minimum of one (01) original Research Publication in indexed/national Journals, accept- ed/ Published as first/ corresponding author during the tenure of Lecturer; Provided that in case of Research Publications published before 5th June, 2017, first/second author shall also be considered in each of the above two categories. | ||||
| The Selection criteria for these posts shall be as under – | |||||
| 1. Weight age of teaching experience | 70 points (40 points for minimum required teaching experience for the post of 03 points for every additional year, subject to a maximum of 30 Points) | ||||
| 2. Weight age of Research Publications | 30 points (15 points for required number of publications and 03 points for every additional publication, subject to a maximum of 15 points). | ||||
| The selection of the candidates for these posts shall be made by the selection committee constituted by the Government for the purpose vide Government order No. 21-JK (HME) of 2021 dated 11-01-2021 and shall be without any prejudice to any writ petition lying pending before any Hon’ble Court of law.

- The applications form duly filled-in must be accompanied with the following documents/testimonials:-
- MBBS Degree and MCI Registration Certificate.
- Post Graduate Degree/ DNB (Board Specialty) and MCI Registration Certificate.
- DM/MCH/DNB (Super Specialty) and MCI Registration Certificate wherever applicable.
- Professional Publications, published in Indexed/ National Journals, as prescribed under Rules.
- Teaching Experience Certificate (as the case may be).
- Domicile Certificate.
- Date of Birth Certificate
- NOC from the Principal Govt. Medical College. Jammu in respect of the faculty members of Government Medical College. Jammu seeking absorption of way of lateral entry in the Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu.
- Affidavit from 1st Class Magistrate to the effect that:-
- Once Appointed in the Super Specialty Hospital Jammu, the concerned doctor shall not claim transfer back to the original/parent Department in Government Medical College, Jammu under any circumstance.
- The seniority of the member so appointed in any of the discipline in Super Specialty Hospital. Jammu shall reckon form the date of his/her appointment in that discipline in the Super Specialty Hospital, Jammu.
- After appointment, the member shall be considered for promotion to the higher post, if available in the concerned Super Specialty discipline, only after he/she completes the requisite qualifying service in that discipline as per the eligibility conditions prescribed vide Government order No. 782-JK (HME) of 2020 dated 06-10-2020.
- In case of dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the selection Committee shall be final.
- The applications complete in all respects should reach to the office of the undersigned by or before 10-01-2022 up to 04:00 PM.
- Incomplete applications shall be rejected without any notice.
- The date of interview shall be notified separately.
- No TA/DA shall be given to the candidates appearing in the interview.
Note: No application, will be entertained/accepted from the non Faculty members/ applicants who are not borne on the establishment of Govt. Medical Collège, Jammu on regular / Permanent basis.
