🔍 What This Role Is All About
As a Data Scientist at NiCE Actimize, you will work on cutting-edge fraud analytics and machine learning solutions used by top global banks and financial institutions. You will explore massive datasets, uncover hidden fraud patterns, and build predictive models that directly fight financial crime.
You’ll collaborate with talented data scientists, engineers, and business experts in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
💼 Your Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large, complex fraud datasets to detect patterns and anomalies
- Build, test, and optimize machine learning models for fraud detection
- Improve existing models using advanced statistical and computational techniques
- Research trends to predict fraudulent behavior more accurately
- Create clear visualizations and dashboards for business stakeholders
- Work closely with engineers to support model deployment and production
- Communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Data Science and ML
- Contribute to innovation forums and knowledge-sharing initiatives at NiCE
🧠 What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience & Mindset
- 2–4 years of hands-on Data Science experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and quality-focused
🛠 Core Technical Skills
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- Strong knowledge of regression, feature selection, time series analysis
- Proficiency in Python (3.7+), SQL, and Excel
- Hands-on experience with ML techniques (clustering, decision trees, boosting, etc.)
- Experience building classification & regression models at scale
- Understanding of logistic regression and regularization
- Exposure to ML-Ops, Kubernetes, AWS or Azure
- Experience troubleshooting production data and deployed models
⭐ Nice to Have
- Fraud analytics or financial crime domain experience
- Banking or financial services exposure
- Knowledge of financial systems and data standards
