We are hiring a Patient Services Back Office Associate to join our remote team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients and healthcare providers with billing inquiries, updating patient information, processing payments, and managing collections tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient and provider billing inquiries.
- Audit and escalate patient account adjustments.
- Update patient demographics (address, phone, insurance).
- Rebill claims when necessary.
- Print and monitor patient statements.
- Process payments through client portals.
- Review and correct bad address/return mail reports.
- Manage collection reports and send collection letters.
- Prepare accounts for collection agency submissions.
- Cross-train with team members to provide backup support.
- Safeguard patient health information according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Support department and company goals and policies.
- Maintain punctuality and good attendance.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Patient Services Manager or Director.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have):
- Relevant work experience in patient services, healthcare billing, or a similar field.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
Additional Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience with healthcare payment portals and billing software.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and healthcare privacy standards.
