Government Degree College Baramulla: The Office of the Principal at Government Degree College Baramulla (Autonomous) invites applications for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) – Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, under the State University Research Excellence (SURE) Scheme. Title of the Project: COVID-19 related stress, compassion fatigue, moral distress, and mental health: Testing a moderated-mediation model in healthcare workers in India

Duration of Project: 03 Years

Principal Investigator: Dr. Kaiser Ahmad Dar – Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, Government Degree College Baramulla, J&K (India)




Essential/Desirable Qualification:

  • M.A. / M.Sc. in Psychology or closely related fields (with first division as defined by the awarding Institute/ University) from recognized Universities/ Institutes.
  • CSIR/UGC-NET (Equivalent qualification/ fellowship) or valid GATE score. Desirable: Knowledge of SEM, Path Analysis using IBM-SPSS/ AMOS, Mediation/ Moderation/ Conditional Process Analysis, Scientific writing skills.

Stipend: INR 31,000 plus admissible HRA for the first two years and INR 35,000 plus admissible HRA for the third year.

Age Limit: 28 years on the date of the interview, with relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH and female candidates as per Government of India norms.

Duration of the Position: The initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to the duration of the project (about 3 years), based solely on performance.
