Subject: Appointment of Candidates as Scientific Officer under Direct Recruitment Quota in the Jammu & Kashmir Forensic Science Laboratory.
Reference: Letters No. PSC/DR/FSL/Home/2023 dated 31.07.2023 and No. PSC/DR/FSL/Home/2023 dated 27.07.2023 of the J&K Public Service Commission.

Pursuant to the selection made on the basis of the competitive examination, as prescribed under the Jammu and Kashmir Forensic Science Laboratory (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2021 and on the basis of the recommendations made by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, sanction is hereby accorded to the temporary appointment of the candidates as mentioned in Annexure-I to this order, against the posts of Scientific Officer in the division shown against each, in the Jammu and Kashmir Forensic Science Laboratory, in Pay Level-8 (47600-151100), with immediate effect.
The appointees shall report to the office of the Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Jammu and Kashmir.
The appointees shall be allowed to join only on production of the following certificates in original:
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- Qualification Certificate(s).
- Domicile Certificate.
- Relevant Category Certificate.
- Any other documents as required under the rules.
The candidates who fail to join within twenty-one (21) days from the date of issuance of this appointment order shall forfeit their right to appointment, which shall be deemed to have been cancelled ab initio without any further notice.
The salary of the appointees shall not be drawn and disbursed unless satisfactory reports in respect of the genuineness of various certificates, such as Qualification, Date of Birth, and Relevant Category Certificate, are received from the concerned Authorities/Agencies.
The appointment of the selected Candidates shall be governed by the following conditions:
(i) These appointments shall be under the “New Pension Scheme” notified vide SRO-400 of 2009 dated 24.12.2009.
(ii) The appointees shall be on probation for a period of two years.
(iii) The appointment of all the candidates shall be subject to the outcome of the writ petition(s)/O.As/Appeal, if any, pending before any Competent Court of Law.
It is further ordered that the inter-se seniority of the appointees shall be determined in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
