GMC Jammu is inviting applications for the position of Medical Officers/ Casualty Officers and Resident Medical Officers in Jammu Division. These positions are available on a non-PSC basis and are offered under an “Academic Arrangement” for an initial period of one year. The engagement is extendable up to a maximum of six years, subject to good performance and conduct, or until regular selections are made according to the governing recruitment rules. This opportunity is in accordance with S.O. 364 of 2020 dated 27-11-2020 and the Jammu and Kashmir Medical and Dental (Appointment on Academic Arrangement basis) 2020, without prejudice to any pending writ petitions.
Job Details:
- Name of the Post: Medical Officers
- Prescribed Qualification: MBBS
- Registration: Registration with the Medical Council of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir / Medical Council of India is a prerequisite for eligibility.
- Age: Minimum 23 years and Maximum 50 years

- Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications such as DNB/MD/MS/Diploma or those with experience in Rural Service or House Job.
