Job Posting: Filling Various Group – B & C Posts at FSSAI through Deputation (Foreign Service Terms)
Position Details FSSAI is seeking qualified candidates to fill various Group ‘B’ & ‘C’ posts through deputation (including short-term contract) on foreign service terms basis. The positions and eligibility criteria are outlined below:
1. Administrative Officer, Gr. B, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level-8 of 7th CPC (Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100)
- Number of Posts: 8 (New Delhi – 6, Ghaziabad – 1, SR Chennai – 1)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with relevant service and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
- Desirable: Master Degree or MBA in Personnel or Human Resource Management or Finance, CA, CS, or ICWA from a recognized university or institution.
2. Senior Private Secretary, Gr. B, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level-8 of 7th CPC (Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100)
- Number of Posts: 3 (New Delhi)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with relevant service and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
3. Personal Secretary, Gr. B, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level-07 of 7th CPC (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400)
- Number of Posts: 14 (New Delhi – 10, Ghaziabad – 1, Mumbai – 1, Chennai – 1, Kolkata – 1)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with relevant service and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
4. Assistant Manager (IT), Gr. B, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level-07 of 7th CPC (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400)
- Number of Posts: 1 (New Delhi)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with relevant service and experience.
- Possessing B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or related Engineering Discipline or MCA or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
5. Assistant, Gr. B, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level-06 of 7th CPC (Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400)
- Number of Posts: 6 (New Delhi)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Government Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre; or with relevant service and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
6. Junior Assistant (Grade-II), Gr. C, Non-Ministerial
- Pay Level 02 of 7th CPC (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200)
- Number of Posts: 10 (New Delhi, Ghaziabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai)
- Eligibility:
- Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Statutory, or Autonomous Organizations.
- Holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or with relevant service and experience.
- 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

Application Process Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria may apply online on the FSSAI website (www.fssai.gov.in) from October 30, 2023, to November 22, 2023. The hard copy of the online application, duly certified by the employer, along with the required documents, must reach the Assistant Director (Recruitment), FSSAI Headquarters, New Delhi by December 4, 2023, for verification and consideration of eligibility.
Deputation Terms The deputation period is initially for three years, with possible extensions based on performance evaluation. The terms, including pay, will be governed by the Department of Personnel and Training’s Office Memorandum No.6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay 11) dated 17th June, 2010, and relevant guidelines. The maximum age limit for deputation appointments for all Group -B & C posts is 56 years.
