As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our Fulfillment Center, overseeing all aspects of budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for one functional area. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage and lead a team of Area Managers, mentor and coach them to meet performance objectives, foster positive employee relations, and strengthen leadership within our Fulfillment Center.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma projects to drive the success of your functional area and the overall fulfillment center. Set clear requirements and expectations for Area Managers.
- Performance Management: Measure performance, provide constructive feedback, and hold Area Managers accountable for their department’s performance.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with Operations and Area Managers to source and nurture innovative ideas, integrating them into improvement plans for the functional area.
- Best Practice Sharing: Proactively ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Resource Management: Work closely with support staff, including HR, Financial, Facilities, S&LP, and IT Managers, to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives within your area. Provide the necessary support and resources for other staff initiatives.
- Issue Resolution: Address operational and personnel issues affecting your functional area and surface issues that may impact multiple departments, offering solutions and insights to senior management.

Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
