Degree Colleges of Kashmir Division (excluding the Constituent Colleges of the Cluster University, Srinagar namely A.S College, Srinagar: Govt. College for Women M.A Road, Srinagar, S.P College, Srinagar, Govt College of Education (IASE), Srinagar and Govt. Degree College, Bemina Srinagar) for the Academic Session 2023. Important Dates:

  1. The portal for submitting on-line application forms is http://spcollege.edu.in which shall be open from 13th February, 2023 to 19th February, 2023 (11:55 p.m.)
  2. Submission of downloaded application forms along with relevant documents by or before 21th February, 2023.

Essential Qualification:



  1. Lecturer: The candidates must possess NET/SLET/Ph.D with minimum 55% marks in Post-graduation in the concerned subject (50% in case of Scheduled Caste. Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled candidates)
  2. Teaching Assistant: The candidates must possess Post-graduate degree in the concerned subject having secured minimum 55% marks (50% in case of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled candidates).
  3. Librarians & Physical Training Instructors (PTI): The candidates must possess NET/SLET/ Ph. D with minimum 55% marks in Post-graduation in the concerned subject i.e M.Lib / M.PEd, (50% in case of Scheduled Caste. Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled candidates).

Other terms and conditions:

  1. The criteria for preparing the subject wise merit lists and the engagement of the candidates for the academic session 2022 shall be as per the guidelines notified vide Order No: 46-JK (HED) of 2022 Dated: 28.02.2022 and addendum No. HED-estb / 12 / 2022-04, dated: 10-02-2023.
  2. The engagement shall be purely temporary till the end of Academic Session 2023 (excluding terminal holidays) or till the post is filled by regular appointment by PSC or by transfer or till the workload justifies, whichever is earlier.
  3. The candidates will have to sign an agreement attested by 1“ Class Judicial Magistrate on the prescribed format with the principal of the college joining.
  4. In the event of any information given by the candidate found false, incomplete, incorrect, forged, tampered, the candidature of the applicant will be cancelled without serving any notice thereof. Further, misleading information shall also warrant necessary legal action.
  5. The primary criteria for calculating the grades shall be from the marks obtained in the examination. However, if the grades have been awarded in CGPA only in any degree / examinations, the conversion factor as mentioned in the CGPA score card shall only be accepted If the marks or conversion factor is not mentioned in the score card, the conversion certificate (from CGPA to percentage) issued by the controller of examination of the concerned University, for the purposes of calculation of the merit shall be accepted
  6. The academic arrangement shall be purely need based and temporary and shall in no case confer any right for regular engagement or even continuation in any subsequent session.
  7. A candidate who has been selected in a particular institution / college under academic arrangement for a particular academic session shall not be permitted to join any other institution / college under the same scheme in the same academic session.
  8. The teaching experience issued by the UGC approved universities/colleges of India shall only be accepted
  9. It is compulsory for the candidates to attend the counselling (in person/online) on the allotted dales, a failure of which shall result in loss of candidature. It is necessary for a candidate to accept an available offer at the time of counselling, otherwise he/she shall lose any claim for further consideration.
  10. Candidature of the applicants in whose case overlap period between study and teaching experience is found shall be rejected without any notice.
  11. The candidates shall strictly submit only three best and relevant publications (UGC recognised) with the application form. No additional publications shall be entertained under any circumstances. Change In any form of the publication shall not be accepted after the submission of the form. The candidates shall submit the extension link of UGC Care list mentioning the journal. In case the journal falls in UGC approved journals at any time, an authenticated document for the same shall be submitted by the candidate. No claim without the authenticated document shall be entertained.
  12. The term awards mentioned shall be restricted to Central Government/ State Government only. The societies registered with state government or central government shall not be treated as par with the government of state/country. Awards from societies shall not accepted.
  13. The academic arrangement candidates shall be allowed maternity leave (in case of female candidates) without remuneration on the basis of certificate issued by the concerned maternity hospital. The maximum limit for such leave shall be 30 days.
  14. Academic arrangement candidate replaced by permanent faculty either by transfer or new appointment shall be re­engaged by disengaging the candidates with lowest merit in the subject concerned.
