In compliance with Govt. Order No: 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 dated 30.11.2022 and the clarification regarding Sahayika recruitment (Vide No. SMD/ICDS/Recruitment/2022-23/21349-72 dated 14.07.2023), applications are invited for the positions of Sangini (Anganwadi Worker) and Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper) in Anganwadi Centres of the Poshan (ICDS) Project Khour. The engagement will be on an honorarium basis.
Eligibility Criteria for Sangini (Anganwadi Worker):
- Age: Women candidates must be in the age group of 18-37 years as of 01-01-2023.
- Domicile: Candidates should be domiciles of the UT of J&K.
- Residence: Candidates must reside in the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated, with the name in the voter list serving as proof.
- Qualification: Minimum qualification for Anganwadi Worker is 10+2, with a maximum of graduation.
- Selection: The selection will be based on merit, with weightage given to marks obtained in 10+2.
- Additional Points: Eligible candidates within the family of the retiring AWW/AWH will qualify for an additional two percent points.
Eligibility Criteria for Sahayika (Anganwadi Helper):
- Age: Women candidates in the age group of 18-37 years as of 01-01-2023.
- Domicile: Candidates should be domiciles of the UT of J&K.
- Residence: Selection of Sahayika will be restricted to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
- Qualification: Minimum qualification for Sahayika is Matriculation; candidates with a qualification not less than 8th standard may be considered.
- Marital Status: Married candidates will be preferred.

- Affidavit (Annexure ‘B’) in the prescribed format
How to Apply:
The application forms, complete in all respects as per the prescribed format (Annexure “A”), along with all required documents, should be submitted in the Office of the Child Development Project Officer Khour (Camp Khour Ward No.2) by hand during working hours against a proper receipt. Incomplete forms will be rejected without clarification, and candidates have no right to claim candidature.
Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates contacted by the office will be required to appear before the Document Verification committee with all original documents within a week after the last date of application forms.
Note: The office/Poshan Department reserves the right to increase/decrease/withdraw/cancel the advertised vacancy/vacancies at any point in time based on departmental requirements before the selection process.
