Advertisement for Engagement of Teaching/Hospital staff on Academic Arrangement Basis under SO-364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020 for Govt. Ayurvedic Medical College & Associated Hospital, Jammu.
Applications on plain paper (Typed) are invited from eligible candidates for engagement on “Academic Arrangement basis” in terms of SO-364 dated 27-11-2020 initially for a period of one year extendable up to maximum of six years (one year at a time and subject to good performance and conduct) or till the selection is made on regular basis in accordance with rules of Recruitment rules governing the respective posts by the Public Service Commission, whichever is earlier. The eligibility criteria for the posts shall be governed by Govt. Order No. 811-JK (HME) of 2020 dated 19-10-2020.
Essential Qualifications:
- For the post of Reader/Associate Professor:
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970.
- A Post Graduate degree in concerned subject from an Institution duly recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine.
- Minimum of five (05) years teaching experience in the concerned subject as Lecturer/Assistant Professor and having a minimum of three (03) Research papers published in recognized Medical journals
- For the post of Lecturer /Assistant Professor:
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970.
- A Post Graduate Degree in concerned subject from an Institution duly recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine.
- For the post of Medical Superintendent:
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970.
- A Post Graduate Degree as a regular candidate in Health/ Hospital Administration/ Management from an Institution/University recognized by University Grants Commission.
- Minimum 05 Years of Experience of running a Govt. Ayurvedic Institution as Deputy Medical Superintendent.
- OR
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970 with ten years Clinical experience and five years Administrative experience in running a Government Ayurvedic Health Institution.
- Minimum 05 Years of Experience of running a Govt. Ayurvedic Institution as Deputy Medical Superintendent.
- For the post of Deputy Medical Superintendent:
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970.
- A Post Graduate Degree as a regular candidate in Health/ Hospital Administration/ Management from an Institution/University recognized by University Grants Commission.
- OR
- A Bachelors degree in Ayurvedic Medicine from a University or its equivalent as recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act. 1970 with ten years Clinical experience and five years Administrative experience in running a Government Ayurvedic Health Institution.
Provision of Allied Subjects:
In absence of the candidate of post-graduate qualification in the subject concerned as mentioned in column (2) of the table given below, the candidate of post-graduate qualification in the allied subjects as mentioned in column (3) of the table, shall be considered eligible for the post of Lecturer/Assistant Professor and Reader /Associate Professor-

Self Attested photocopies of following documents are mandatory to be attached with the application:

- BAMS Degree/Marks Certificate (Aggregate).
- Post Graduation degree in concerned/allied subject
- Registration Certificate from J&K Board of Ayuvedic/Unani/ Sowa Rigpa. Yoga & Naturopathy systems of Medicine.
- Publication indexed in recognized National/lnternational Journals.
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- Domicile Certificate of J&K/Permanent Resident Certificate.
- Teaching Experience of 05 years from recognized Institute and 3 Research publications published in a recognized journal.
- An affidavit duly attested by 1st Class Magistrate that the candidate is not in active Govt. Service. Incomplete application in any respect shall be rejected without any intimation.

Salary and age shall be as per SO-364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020.
The selection of the candidates for the posts shall be made by the Committee Constituted by the Government. The Appointment shall be purely on Academic Arrangement basis Only without conferment of any preferential right of the engages for any regular appointment against these posts which shall strictly be made in accordance with the relevant recruitment rules. The service of the appointee under these rules shall be terminable before the expiry of the tenure of appointment with one month’s notice from either side or on payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice by the appointing authority.
In case of any dispute, the decision of chairperson of the selection committee shall be final.
